WHO WE ARE

In a world where so much wine is produced by large corporations using industrial farming techniques, chemical fertilizers, and pesticides; we are committed to making wines that respect the land, the environment and the age-old techniques of hand crafted wine making.

A SMALL PRIVATELY

OWNED BOUTIQUE WINERY

We are a small privately owned boutique winery with a passion for three things: Firstly to make great wines, secondly to respect the biodiversity of our small corner of Tuscany, and thirdly to offer a hospitable welcome to all of our guests.

Since Chianti became the industry’s first protected appellation of wine in 1716 on the decree of the Medici family, it has become amongst the most famous wines the world over. After enduring a difficult period in the 70’s and 80’s where Chianti wines were associated with cheap table wines served in straw encased flagons, the region has burgeoned under the strict supervision of the Consorzio Vino Chianti Classico and now is the home of some of the world’s greatest wines and wineries.

A LOVE AFFAIR WITH THE

SANGIOVESE GRAPE

Our love affair with the region, and in particular with the main grape of all Tuscan wines, the noble Sangiovese, drives us every day to strive for excellence in our quest to get all the amazing potential of this grape into every bottle of Chianti Classico we produce.

Our wines are crafted without the addition of any chemicals, including preservatives, dyes and sugar. Our grapes are grown without the use of herbicides, pesticides and synthetic chemical fertilizers.

We work with nature to boost the biodiversity of the vineyard by planting cover crops between the vines to attract the insects that eat the bugs that damage the fruit. We minimize the use of sulfites used as preservatives in wines. Wines made the traditional way in harmony with nature. You will taste the difference!

NOT JUST A WORKING VINEYARD,

BUT A PLACE TO VISIT

The Tuscan tradition has always been to produce great wines to share with friends accompanied by our simple and rich flavoured local foods. The acidity and slight saltiness of our wines make them perfect to accompany the fresh ingredients of our Tuscan cuisine.

Whether you are visiting us for a tasting, staying in one of our self catering villas, holding an event or booking out our whole village for your exclusive wedding, we look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful estate.

NATURAL

ENVIRONMENT

We are lucky enough to be able to make our wines in one of the most beautiful parts of Italy, with views across the rolling countryside as far as Montalcino, Monte Amiata and beyond. More than 80% of our land remains wild and provides a habitat for the diverse flora and fauna of the region. Sustainability remains at the core of our land management and farming methods.
