Our Rosato is a fresh drinkable Rosé, more similar to a French wine than a traditional Tuscan Rosato – which are normally darker in colour with heavier structure. We pick the grapes in the last week of August and press them immediately, after which they are cold-fermented for 3 weeks, like one would a white wine. The result is an incredibly fresh and vibrant Rosé, with a great colour, crisp acidity and an aromatic touch.

2021 was a vintage of contrasts. The main event was a frost on the morning of April 8th, with temperatures going as low as -7° C in our Albarello vineyards, where we lost most of the production. All the vineyards at higher altitude and with Guyot training were scarcely touched, the diversity of altitudes, soils and training methods we employ, paying off once more.
Notwithstanding the anomalous climate, the end result was a series of balanced and fresh wines, with each selection showing its character. The Cabernet, in its lateness, was not affected by the frost and was exceptional.
