WHO WE ARE?
In a world where so many wines are produced by large corporations using industrial farming methods, chemical fertilizers and pesticides, we are committed to producing wines that respect the land, the environment and the centuries-old techniques of artisanal winemaking.
A SMALL
PRIVATE BOUTIQUE WINERY
We are a small, private boutique winery with a passion for three things: 1. Producing high quality wines 2. Tuscan biodiversity 3. Hospitality
Since becoming the industry's first protected wine designation in 1716 by a decree of the Medici family, Chianti has been one of the world's most famous wines. After a difficult period in the 1970s and 1980s when Chianti wines were associated with cheap table wines served in straw-covered flagons, the region has flourished under the strict supervision of the Consorzio Vino Chianti Classico. Today, this region is home to some of the world's finest wines and wineries.
A LOVE RELATIONSHIP WITH
THE SANGIOVESE GRAPE
Our love for the region and in particular for the most important grape variety of all Tuscan wines, the precocious Sangiovese, drives us every day to do our best to bring the full potential of this grape into every bottle of Chianti Classico we produce.
Our wines are produced without the addition of chemicals, including preservatives, colorants and sugar. Our grapes are grown without the use of herbicides, pesticides and chemical-synthetic fertilizers.
We work with nature to promote the biodiversity of the vineyard by creating beds between the vines to attract the insects that eat the pests that damage the fruit. We minimize the use of sulphites, used as preservatives in wines. Wines are made in a traditional way in harmony with nature. You will taste the difference!
NOT JUST A MANAGED VINEYARD,
BUT A PLACE YOU MUST VISIT
The Tuscan tradition has always been to produce great wines to share with friends, accompanied by our simple and flavourful local foods. The acidity and slight saltiness of our wines make them perfect accompaniments to the fresh ingredients of our Tuscan cuisine.
Whether you are visiting us for a wine tasting, staying in one of our self-catering villas, hosting an event or booking our entire village for your exclusive wedding, we look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful estate.
NATURAL
VICINITY
We are fortunate to produce our wines in one of the most beautiful areas of Italy, with views over the rolling countryside to Montalcino, Monte Amiata and beyond. More than 80% of our area is still unspoilt and provides a habitat for the region's diverse flora and fauna. Sustainability is the principle of our responsible agriculture.
